Welcome to CDIF - the Centre for Industrial Diagnostics and Fluid Dynamics of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). CDIF's goal is to contribute to the improvement of reliability, efficiency and sustainability of renewable power generating systems through research and technology development and transfer.
This R&D centre of the UPC has more than thirty years of experience in vibration analysis, turbomachinery diagnostics and predictive maintenance, particularly in the hydropower sector. CDIF aims to generate high-level scientific knowledge and transform it into solutions that are applicable to industry, by developing structural analysis, simulation of fluid dynamics (CFD), remote machinery monitoring, cavitation and damage detection, as well as specialised technical training.
Thus, CDIF works as a link between academic research and the energy sector by fostering innovation and knowledge transfer internationally.
