Mònica Egusquiza from CDIF in Best Spanish Women Researchers ranking

Mar 07, 2025

The ranking, published by CSIC, includes the best 10,000 Google Scholar profiles based on their metrics.

Last February, CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Spanish National Research Council) has published a ranking of the best 10,000 Google Scholar profiles of women researchers from and in Spain, in relation to their metrics and based on information collected in early February 2025.

We are proud to announce that Mònica Egusquiza from CDIF has been included in the ranking, together with more than 130 female researchers from UPC.

According to CSIC, the purpose of this ranking is to give women researchers visibility by simultaneously promoting Open Science. To that end, an open tool (Google Scholar) has been chosen as opposed to other bibliometrics resources that offer a narrower and less easily accessible data coverage. Also, personal identifiers (RoR and ORCID) are used to facilitate the intensive use of metadata.
