Welcome to CDIF, an R&D centre at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) dedicated to advancing the reliability and efficiency of global power generation. Founded by Prof. Eduard Egusquiza and backed by over 30 years of expertise, our team of PhD engineers specialises in the vibration analysis, diagnosis, and preventive maintenance of turbomachinery, with a primary focus on the hydropower sector.

We bridge the gap between academic research and industrial application by providing high-level technology transfer services. Our work encompasses everything from remote online monitoring and structural analysis to fluid dynamics simulations and specialised on-site training. As an active contributor to the international scientific community, CDIF combines top-tier research in cavitation and damage detection with practical, innovative solutions designed to support the worldwide energy industry.
